My book is called Roller Girl. It is a graphic novel. The main characters name is Astrid and she is very inspiring and brave.

Tell about the book but don’t give away the ending!
It all started when Astrid was best friends with Nicole and one day Astrids mom took her and Nicole to a roller derby game. Astrid loved it so much but not Nicole. That summer Astrid signed up for roller derby camp and assumed that Nicole would too but Nicole decided to sign up for dance camp instead so in a few days Astrid was going into the hardest day of her life. When Astrid got to camp for her first day everyone was skating around the ring while Astrid couldn’t go 3 steps without falling. Now Astrid realized that Nicole’s mom was supposed to pick her up and when she got home by walking she just decided to not tell her mom. 4 weeks in she wasn’t that bad but then there coach announced that they were going to let the experienced skaters play in a real bout in front of a huge crowd Astrid really wanted to play so she worked really hard. Will Astrid get to play in the bout?

My favourite part of Roller Girl is when Astrids mom finds out that Nicole hasn’t been at the camp or driving her home. Also that Astrid has been walking home and that includes going across a highway.
